We'll investigate and engage in numerous techniques to reset the vagus nerve of the central nervous system for achieving homeostasis, a state of calm stability. We will analyze and apply strategies and coping skills that look beyond surface behaviors in the learning environment. Each session will build upon the last as we explore various topics such as neurobiology, the central nervous system, establing co-regulation during moments of heightened behavior, and examining the cognitive processes of language, memory, recall, and motivation. Understanding primitive reflex integration and proprioception training is essential for all learners' brain development. You'll gain insights into the remarkable neurodivergent brain, including ADHD, Autism, dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia, dyspraxia, highly sensitive students, and sensory and information. processing viewed from a strengths-based perspective equipping you with valuable skills to nurture the potential of all developing young minds in your school. We will enjoy the journey of discovering much more about how the brain operates, the processes of cognition, and meanings behind the behaviors. This is an introductory foundational exploration into neuropsychology-don't feel overwhelmed; studying the brain is an incredible endeavor!
