Coming Summer 2026!

Welcome to Brain Power Explorers—a fun and exciting small-group experience designed just for 3rd–5th grade students to unlock the mysteries of their magnificent, one-of-a-kind brains! In this engaging program at the NeuroBalance Project, we'll take a playful yet powerful journey into how the brain works, grows, and helps us learn, feel, move, and thrive.

Each session is packed with hands-on activities, creative discussions, and movement-based games as we dive into questions like: Why is my brain wrinkly? Why do I forget my multiplication facts? Why do I get so nervous about making mistakes?

Together, we’ll explore how our developing brains handle emotions, focus, memory, and self-control—and learn strategies to calm our central nervous system so our brain becomes our best learning partner. With each session, students will build self-awareness, confidence, and brain-friendly skills that help them feel more successful, capable, and happy at school. It's science, movement, and fun—all rolled into one unforgettable adventure!

Coming Summer 2026!

Welcome to Brainwise—a powerful, real-world small group experience for high school students ready to better understand the most complex and incredible tool they’ll ever own: their brain. At the NeuroBalance Project, we dive deep into the science of brain function—how it grows, adapts, and drives everything from focus and decision-making to emotional responses and social relationships. High school is a time of rapid development, high expectations, and major transitions, all while your brain is still under construction. When stress, anxiety, depression, or harmful self-thoughts creep in, they can overload the system and block access to the very parts of the brain you need most—like the prefrontal cortex, responsible for reasoning, judgment, self-control, and goal-setting.

In Brainwise, we zero in on understanding how mental health directly impacts cognitive functioning and learn proven strategies to regulate the central nervous system so the brain can work with you, not against you. Through interactive discussions, movement-based brain resets, and practical tools, we’ll unpack how to recognize emotional overload, how to pause and reset, and how to move forward even when things feel overwhelming. This group is for anyone who wants to build real-life coping skills, understand the brain’s role in mental wellness, and develop resilience to face life’s challenges and changes with strength and clarity.

Whether you're thinking about a future in psychology, social work, education, or simply want to be a strong, compassionate peer leader, Brainwise will help you gain the insight and empathy to support yourself—and others—with confidence. Because when you understand your brain, you unlock your power to grow, connect, and choose hope, even in the hardest moments.

"Wired for Wonder"

Coming Summer 2026!

Welcome to Wired for Wonder—a dynamic and empowering small-group experience created especially for middle school students as they navigate one of the most fascinating and transformative times in brain development. At the NeuroBalance Project, we celebrate the incredible changes happening in the adolescent brain—a time when young people are beginning to discover who they are, what they like, their academic interests, hobbies, sports, and how important friendships and social connections truly are. But we also recognize that this phase can bring unrest, intense emotions, confusion, and challenges with feeling anxious or unsure about where one fits in.

In Wired for Wonder, we’ll take a deep dive into how the brain is “under construction” during this phase, learning how it affects memory, focus, emotional regulation, and decision-making. Together, we’ll explore how to calm the central nervous system through movement, music, technology, and real conversations—developing techniques to handle anxious thoughts, build emotional resilience, and work through feelings of isolation. Each session will be filled with engaging, hands-on experiences and supportive peer discussions that help students better understand themselves and their growing brains. Through laughter, connection, and curiosity, we’ll equip each student with tools to thrive both inside and outside the classroom—because the middle school brain is wired for wonder, and we’re here to unlock the brain's limitless potential!
